Nana (Marty's mom) flew to Washington and stayed with us for 2 days. Then she and Jack flew to California. Nana & Poppa, with help from Grandma (Sarah’s mom) watched Jack for a week. Marty and Sarah went to Hawaii with Marty’s company. We were sad to see Jack go. Sarah had to fight back tears, but Jack had a great time in California, and Marty & Sarah got a little time alone.
Nana reported back to us that Jack fell asleep as the plane took off and slept until it landed. All the grandparents said they loved spending time with Jack, that he was well behaved, and happy to do what ever they had in store for him. His visit included a trip to Fairy Tale Town, the Zoo, a surprise party for Sarah’s Aunt Sandy, lots of bike riding, and lots of time out doors enjoying the California sun.
