Glamping

We took our boys on there first camping trip. We dubbed it "glamping" glamorous camping. Nana and Poppa met us on the Washington coast with their camper for 2 nights of camping. The first night when we arrived at Cape Disappointment, which by the way was beautiful, it was raining. Heating up chili over the stove and eating in the camper at the banquet was cozy and fun. Plus, the boys enjoyed all the play space.

Sweet Bryce, asleep in out tent (in the pack n play)

The next day the rain stopped and the sun came out. In the morning we enjoyed beautiful beach walk. The great part was the state park allowed dogs on the beach. Jack & Bryce enjoyed riding the Skuut on the beach.

I call these kids "Lord of the Flies" note the shirtless kid in the back ground. The boys were in the rusty boat on the beach. The shirtless kid was leading the boys in turning the boat into a pool, one bucket at a time.

We really enjoyed our rain-less day!

In the evening Jack & Bryce enjoyed their first camp fire. We made smores, and a good time was had by all. Jack's favorite part was driving McQueen and Sally by the camp fire, in the dirt. In the morning...

Jack discovered his Lightning McQueen car was missing but Sally was still by the fire where he left it. Mommy suggested that perhaps the car that was probably covered in marshmallows and chocolate, was stolen by the raccoons who broke into our food during the night. Sure enough, we check around the camp site and found the car in bushes just beyond side our camp sight, about 5 yards from Sally. Jack was thrilled when Daddy had to climb into the bushes to save Lightning form the raccoon theifs. True story.

Murray Family

We met the Murry family while Marty attended Wharton. Marcia and her children, Will & Esper were in the Wharton Kids Club along with Sarah & Jackson. The Murray's moved to Dubai following Wharton. We were excited when Marcia emailed to say that she and the children would be in Wenatchee, Washington. Jack, Bryce and I hopped in the car and took a great road trip to Eastern Washington. Here's a group shot:

The children had great fun together. Swimming, eating popsicles, and biking were a hit. Jack and Esper became fast friends.

The highlight of the day may have been the post dinner show the children preformed. Will was the leader and organized a great musical number!

Both Marcia and Sarah have had little baby boys post-Wharton. It was great getting to know the newest family members.

Jack enjoying a popsicle, and the incredible view from Marcia's parent's house.

The dad's Marty & Stewart had to work- maybe next time they will get to join the fun!

Blackberries

We have a huge patch of blackberries growing in our yard. This weekend Marty went out and trimmed the blackberry bushes and he and Jack picked berries.

Messy berry face says: those were good!

11 Months Old

Bryce turned 11 Months old while we were on a family trip to Sunriver, Oregon. He took two little steps! We forgot our camera, so we don't have many pictures. He doesn't really want to walk though. Bryce will take one, sometimes two steps, and just sits down. He likes crawling, it is faster, and safer. In a crawl Bryce is not in danger of being pushed down by an older brother.

This picture is such a perfect picture to represent Bryce. He loves his pacifier and stuffed elephant. Seattle had a heat wave, and a chubby baby does not like to sleep in jammies. He is so sweet!

Seafair

The annual Seafair fest features: hodro boat races, airplane stunts, the Blue Angles, fireworks and more! The show is the first weekend in August every year. The first year we moved in it took us by surprise. This is our 3 Seafair show, so now we're better prepared.
We were fortunate to spend Saturday with Marty's colleagues. We enjoyed an awesome view, water-side, from Mercer Island. The show was great and the kids enjoyed it. We didn't take many pictures, but we gt a few of Bryce with his ear plugs on. They worked really well. He fell asleep shortly after these pictures.

Little Fish

Jack is taking swim lessons. He loves the water and is doing really well. He goes every Saturday. Daddy and Bryce go and cheer Jack on. He just loves the water, and all of the attention from adoring fans, makes it all that much cooler.
