Back In Training

I started up a training program this week for a half-marathon in Sunriver this summer (June 25). The twelve-week program will get me into shape for the event. This week I did some weight training on Monday, a 3 mile run on Tuesday, some cross-training on Wednesday, then did both weight training and a 3 mile run on Thursday. Today (Friday) I am allowed to take the day off for rest. It feels really good to get regular exercise each day but I have to ramp up slow and stretch a lot so that I don't get injured. I don't want the shin splints from my marathon to come back.
