Mother Daughter Weekend

My childhood friends and our mother's have met all over the West Coast for a weekend of mother daughter fun! This is our 8th year of this tradition and we met in my city, Seattle.

We stayed in S. Lake Union, not too far from the Space Needle. We visited all the tourist favorites: Pike's Place Market, the Space Needle, Down Town, Nordstrom's for makeovers, and we even took the ferry over to Bainbridge Island.

The daughters form left to right: Holly (Rema's daughter), Natalie (Patty's daughter), and me! Natalie is due in November with a boy!

I loved this cute bench on Bainbridge Island

A photo outside of the Pike's Place Market. The sky was beautiful and Elliot's Bay looked amazing!

Here we are at Nordstrom's to shop the baby section and get makeovers. Natalie is holding a $150 Coach baby cap.

Is it a Boy or Girl?!

We went to the Ultrasound with the intention of finding out if we were expecting a boy or a girl.

However, we wanted to do it a bit differently. We asked the nurse to write down, on a card, if we were having a boy or girl. We took the envelope, with the card in it to our favorite local restaurant and opened the card over dessert. We didn't expect the card to be so cute- or to say "GIRL." What a surprise!

Marty began calling and texting people right away!

Bryce is 2

For Bryce's 2nd birthday we had a fireman themed party. We went to the local fire station, Station 29, 2 blocks from our house. We gave out fire hats to everyone and had blue and red cupcakes for dessert.

Chocolate cupcakes for teh adults mini red and blue cupcakes for the kids.

Happy Birthday Bryce!

Thanks, Grandma, Nana & Poppa!! They all came from Sacramento for Bryce's birthday party. They helped us set up and prepare for the party.
