Thanksgiving Road Trip Part 2

We reached Sacramento on Monday. We had a full and busy week in Sacramento.
The boys loved swimming in Poppa & Nana's new spa. They also enjoyed making a fort at Grandma's. Marty and Sarah had a turkey-off for Thanksgiving: oven-baked breast down vs. deep fried turkey. Plus Sarah got to meet up with her high school buddies. What a fun trip!

Thanksgiving Road Trip Part 1

We headed South for Thanksgiving. Our first stop was Bend, Oregon to visit Bobo, Jiji and Ben, and Bumpy too. We had a short, but sweet visit. Jack's highlight was building a gingerbread house with Uncle Ben. Bryce loved playing with Jiji's exercise ball!

Southern California

The kids and Sarah tagged along on Marty's business trip. We spent one great week at the Sheraton in Carlsbad, CA. The boys loved the hotel pool. Even Liz was able to meet up with us for a few days. While Marty worked Liz and Sarah took the boys on adventures. The best part of the trip was visiting Lego Land! It's right next door to the hotel and we even go to use a special entrance!



Sea World-
It's a good thing Liz was with us. Since Sarah is pregnant the staff in Elmo's World wouldn't let her on the rides. Liz had to take the boys on the Elmo's World rides. Bryce is still talking about the Flying Fairy School Ride. Both boys loved the animals, shows, and running around. Jack's highlight was when the birds stole Liz's lunch; Liz's lowlight.















Liz and Jack became fast friends. Liz swam with the boys, helped out at meal time and taught them silly games. We're were s glad she came along!

It was really fun driving around our rental car. Marty got a free upgrade, so we got to drive a 2011 BMW!

Lego Land

Lego Land had a special so we got to go back on Sunday for free! There are 2 days worth of pictures below. Most were taken on day 1. The first day we stayed from sun up until dark. On day 2 we left after lunch.







Sarah learned her lesson at Sea World, this time she tried to hide her 5 month pregnancy belly so that she could ride on slow, safe, rides with the kids.

Marty, Jack and Bryce took part in a fire fighting competition, they finished last, but had a blast.
