We had a great Memorial Day weekend trip for the wedding of Kurt and Ginger. We went to a wonderful rehearsal dinner at the elegant Somerset Club in Boston on Saturday night.
There were some outstanding speeches from the wedding party's family and friends, a near roast of both Kurt and Ginger, and jovial conversation between all of the guests.
The highlight of the evening was a quick hand in the upstairs card room at the Sommerset Club. Saran won with two pairs (aces and kings) but fortunately for the rest of us, he backed down from a $10 bet before the deal.
The wedding ceremony on Sunday was at the Dover Church down the street from Ginger's childhood home with a reception at TCC (The Country Club), rumored to be the oldest country club in existence in America. The reception was a great time with cocktails on the porch, an incredible dinner, lots of dancing, and a sundae bar for dessert!
On Monday we wrapped up our trip with some touring around Boston including a quick trip down part of the Freedom Trail and lunch on the 52nd floor of the Prudential building.
